Red Pando is a database and search engine for user submitted Pando package information.
You'll need the Pando client software.
Get the answer straight from Pando's website.
Red Pando does not support the distribution of pirated material. Red Pando is a search engine and does not host any files (Red Pando cannot determine the legality of a package because it does not download the actual package). It merely maintains a catalog of information regarding particular Pando packages (which is made available by Pando Web Services). This website adheres to all the policies set up by the actual Pando End User License Agreement. This information can be found at Pando's website. The primary focus of Red Pando is to provide a medium for individual authors to submit their content to the public. Content such as video blogs, freeware apps, artwork, etc.
Red Pando does not host any files, therefore it cannot remove your content. To do this you must contact the personnel at Pando. When they remove the package from their server Red Pando will remove the link from the website (as this is controlled by an automated script).
Just write an e-mail providing the URL where the package appears on Red Pando and the nature of the problem to redpando.web@gmail.com.
If your Pando package is an encrypted/password protected archive please be sure to provide the password either in the Pando package description or in the provided Additional Notes field on the Submit page of Red Pando. Furthermore, provide a thumbnail picture in your primary Pando package. Use a descriptive title for your package rather than the filename itself. The instructions on how to do these things using the Pando client can be found at the Pando website. Remember to hit Share to Web after you've finished downloading a package in order to keep it alive on the web.
Red Pando cannot locate a Pando package whose URL hasn't been submitted to the site. Assuming your URL has been submitted for inclusion into Red Pando, the automated script will search through the titles, descriptions, and packagers of all Pando packages made available to its database. The more descriptive and complete your Pando package's information is when you publish it, the easier it will be for Red Pando users to locate.
The normal search uses a basic string comparison against the data available in a package. If it does not find a match for that string (via case-insensitive comparison) no results are returned.
With the Advanced search option checked, the string comparisons are performed using Perl Regular Expressions. For more information on how to use regular expressions, read here.
If you submit a valid Pando URL to Red Pando, and the Pando package actually exists, the Submit page will display a message of success (should the package already exist on Red Pando it will indicate that as well). If the URL entered is improper, or the package does not exist, you will be returned to the submission form. The proper format of a Pando package URL is:
http://cache.pando.com/soapservices/Package/package.pando?id=PackageId&key=PackageKey
There is no risk involved in just using this site and viewing its contents. However, always assume a risk when downloading a Pando package from an unknown/untrusted source. The fact remains that the Pando servers may not check package contents for viruses/spyware/adware/etc. It is solely up to you to protect yourself from malicious packages via the use of software designed to quarantine these, or choosing to never download from an unknown/untrusted source. Red Pando assumes no responsibility explicity or implicitly for any damage caused to your system by downloading any of the packages it tracks. Red Pando does not host any of these packages, it only tracks the data provided by the Pando Package Information API.
